Ruffa Gutierrez: 'Wala nang Team Ruffa, Team Kris’

After Kris Aquino's public apology to Ruffa Gutierrez, whom she unintentionally offended with her remarks last Sunday, March 7, everyone anticipated what will be the actress's official statement regarding her side of the story. Yesterday, Ruffa welcomed a press interview where she clarified things up and announced that she accepts Kris's sorry. "I do appreciate and accept Kris's apology. Ako naman, I am a very fun loving individual and kaibigan ko rin naman si Kris and I have the highest respect for her I know that we love each other and I know that we've been friends for a long, long time."

Ruffa was very emotional when Kris said ‘iba ang saya dito’ referring to her transfer to another network. "Medyo nasaktan lang ako noon kasi dun sa mga parinig niya na: 'You know, mahal na mahal ako ng mga tiga-Laoag, 70% percent ng mga tao nakikita ako dito', parang pinapalabas niya na walang manonood sa akin sa TV5."

She then denied that she "walked out" of the show. She just tried to calm down in her dressing room during the commercial gap. "Ewan ko ba bakit sinabing nag-walk out, mga intrigero kayo. Masama ba umiyak sa dressing room? Grabe. I really wanted to go back on air but I couldn't stop crying so natanggal na yung pilikmata ko, nag-smear na yung (eye) liner ko and I admit I was emotional. Akala ng mga tao O.A. (over-acting), (pero) ganun talaga yung emotion ko nung time na yun wala akong magagawa but hindi ko talaga sinasadya yun."

Annabelle Rama, Ruffa's mother, who immediately supported her daughter after the said incident, advised Ruffa to accept the apology. "Sinabi lang lang niya, 'Day, tanggapin mo na yung apology ni Kris kasi nakita ko naman na nagpakumbaba na siya, sige okay na yun. Yung mommy ko para siyang volcano," Ruffa said while laughing.

To end the issue, Ruffa said: "Let's move on with dignity and honor, wala nang Team Ruffa, Team Kris, Team Friendship na lang 'di ba?" And to prove what she said, she will still grace The Buzz’s episode on March 14, which will formally be her last hosting stint for the show.
